The Role: Care Assistant in Nursing Home Settings

As a Care Assistant, you'll be working in nursing home environments across Northern Ireland, providing excellent care to elderly and vulnerable residents. This is meaningful work that makes a real difference - you'll be supporting individuals with daily living activities and personal care in a safe, professional environment.

What Your Day Might Look Like

Care Assistant roles vary depending on the facility and shift, but typically include:

• Assisting residents with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing and toileting while preserving dignity and independence

• Supporting mobility and transfers using proper manual handling techniques

• Helping with mealtimes, ensuring residents receive adequate nutrition and hydration

• Monitoring and recording residents' wellbeing, reporting any concerns to nursing staff

• Providing emotional support and companionship to residents

• Maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable environment

• Following care plans tailored to each resident's individual needs

• Working collaboratively with nurses, healthcare professionals, and families

Requirements to Apply
